Walkerville, Ontario. A town in it's own right which began as an "area" of windsor city. Hiram walker moved his distillery here from Detroit just before prohibition.

Walkerville Ontario, Canada, founded by my great, great granpappy Hiram Walker (may or may not be true) (4 July 1816 – 12 January 1899) an American grocer turned distiller and maker of Canadian Club Whisky. The town surrounding the distillery was started in 1856 and many original buildings and homes still exist as they grew around the first distillery of 1858. The town was incorporated in 1890, and was amalgamated with Windsor in 1935. Walkerville is made up of two parts: Olde Walkerville, based on the Garden city movement South Walkerville – A lot newer, developed between 1910 and 1920. Walkerville is a very multicultural populated area.

Walkerville... Ahh Walkerville. Discovered by the germans in 1810 who travelled to north america due to the rising costs of party ice in europe,They origionaly named the town "Mannschaft"(meaning team) but after in influx of gay tourists in search of a ledgendary appendage they chose to re-name it, the wiskey was origionally made just as something to have your ice with but became a ledgend all of its own. The town is also to blame for that charming "ayye" that canadians place on the end of every sentence i.e. "its cold out ayye" reffering to the external temperature of the day. it became part of there language after the month long bender that took place after conception of the remarkable wiskey see attached photo

Hiram Walker founded his distillery in 1858 in Detroit. He first learned how to distill cider vinegar in his grocery store in the 1830s before moving onto whisky and producing his first barrels in 1854. However, with prohibition looming and Michigan already becoming "dry", Walker decided to move his distillery across the Detroit River to Windsor, Ontario. From here, he was able to export his whisky, continue to perfect the distillation process and start to develop Walkerville, a community that Hiram financed and sourced most of his employees from. So Walkerville, Ontario, Canada is where it is now produced.
