  • Did You Know These Things About the Internet?

Very true. I spend much more time on the computer than I do watching TV or reading the newspaper. 90% of emails are Spam - must tell others about that one - quite incredible. More about Did You Know These Things About the Internet?

  • Balsamic-Glazed Salmon Fillets

Last post: Belinda on 14.03.11 at 01:50 | Started by Hayden on 21.04.10

What a superb recipe. I had all the ingredients and made it for the family last night.

    Simply devine.

Luckily I had found the Salmon Fillets half price yesterday so it was quite an inexpensive meal. Had roasted vegetables sprinkled with oil with this meal - pumpkin, kumera, capsucum, potatoes, onions, carrots with green beans thrown in at the end.

Whew family thought it was delicious and with university exams tomorrow it's brain food!!! More about Balsamic-Glazed Salmon Fillets

Wonderful place to walk around - absolutely terrible to drive as they are horrendous (even worse than NZ's) drivers. Had to move a car which was blocking the way along a narrow street for our bus and all the guys got out and moved the car further along (would have loved to see the owner's face)!!!!

To get past the queues for the Eiffel Tower it's best to walk the first section up quite a few steps then catch the lift further on. Also lovely to buy a painting off a street artist to remind yourself of the happy memories you have in this romantic city.

I just enjoyed sitting on a bench by the river Seine and listening to the happy chatter of the French speaking while having a baguette with a friend. More about Places in Paris Where to Romance Your Love

  • Travel Planning Don'ts

Last post: Belinda on 14.03.11 at 01:50 | Started by Hippynz on 29.04.08

I found when I was single the best way of finding out about the country was staying at a backpackers and talking to people about what was the best spots to see and what to look out for.

Also travel with a backpack as it leaves your hands free to cope with money, tickets, and your backpack doesn't leave your body when opening doors etc. I hated a money belt so used a small bag which went around my neck and down my top with money, passport and important documents kept in it.

Also another good idea is to buy a backpack with a smaller backpack on the front so you can whip it off and use it for day trips leaving your big pack in the room. Use local transport to get to tourist spots and then pick up on a guided tour if necessary once there as that saves you heaps.

Computers are wonderful so plan, plan, plan and talk to lots of other people in the place you are staying. More about Travel Planning Don'ts
