i used to live in argentina, and as a brit when it came to football matches between england and argentina there was little i could to not be named names when england won, they have a passion for football like no other, and needless to say the River Plate, and Boca Juniors are the main rivals, and if you found yourself amongst people of the opposite team you supported you had to be ready to take some flak and put up a good fight for your team!
for anyone planning to go to Buenos Aires, (or anywhere else in Argentina) take advantage of these two things, the beef, and the wines (especially from mendoza) those are two of the things i miss most from argentina.. together with the warm temperatures. More about Buenos Aires: Football Fervor -
dont just pay attention to what they say, but try and pick up on their body language, and react accordingly, if you notice they like something you've said, try and talk more in detail about said topic. More about 8 Casanova style tips

Batman - The Dark Knight Returns Massive Prize Pack & DVD's
Ironically this actually has something to do with bats.. (no not cricket bats or baseball bats.. actual live bats) Back in Argentina (a few years ago) i lived in a closed community which was nicely guarded by armed guards at the gates. one night i had a friend round and we went out for i dont know what reason to the driving range that was there. we took flashlights and as we were pointing them around we noticed some fast, small dark things flying over our heads. Following this, in both amazement and wonder we were both now flashing them into the sky.. which probably wasnt a great idea considering this "nice little rich place" was in the middle of (to be kind) an absolute hole. so nearby houses were quick to be worried about flashlights close to the walls of the village and were just as quick to call the guards... the armed guard....... ... with shotguns... (no joke) so after a little while (the time it takes for a little electric car to get round to that area) we see the flashing yellow lights and knew exactly what it was... as it was called in Argentina "La cana" (the police/security) not fast enough we crawled under some bushes and waited as the car kept on coming down the grass looking for us, just as we think its passing us it makes a 90 degree turn and blares it lights right at us... what do i hear nect? *chk-chk* .. there is me thinking.. hold on a tick... these guys dont just have pistols do they... i am one to quickly stand up and announce that we were baffled by the flying creatures up above us and that i was a local resident. thank goodness the guard didnt have a merry trigger finger or else that would've had a different outcome! My advice to everyone even slightly interested.. just do it, you get to meet the brewers who will be happy to talk beer with you, you also get to try some of new zealands finest craft beers available, I've been to beervana 2 years running (and will be going this year too) its an awesome experiece and i do seriously recommend it to everyone interested... but, dont expect to find much if any of that commercially brewed "beer" More about BEERVANA – A Beginners Guide

Q&A Get Frank – Hallertau Brewery
Hallertau was one of my first beer influences back when i lived in Auckland, and the beers brewed there were a gateway, opening my view on beers with proper flavors and aromas. It lead me to try other flavorsome craft beers. and I've never looked back, the craft beer scene in NZ is much larger than your average binge drinker thinks/knows, and its one well worth looking into, the flavors are so much better, and you can get a proper appreciation for them. - it always annoys me when i see someone grab a stella or heineken or something of the sort and say "thats a quality product" Congrats to Steve on his success!
