For those doubting that this is real blokes food, don't. This stuff puts hairs on men's chests for sure! I tried it at a Japanese Restaurant one time and liked it a lot though the taste was a little different it complimented the rest of the meal. A word of advise - don't use chopsticks to eat this cause you'll look like a plonker! More about Green tea ice cream

I love it when positive articles about my vices are published! Chocolate can be good for the heart, white wine can be good for the lungs - thanks getfrank, that's great news! Now just tell me something "bad" that is good for my brain and I'll add it to my list of vices!!! More about White Wine's Influence on the Lungs

Ahhhh boys and their toys...you gotta love 'em! My husbands favourite was the baby monitor. He was endlessly amused with himself each time he snuck into the baby's room and directed man sized farts right into the baby monitor giving me a helluva fright!!! Dick... More about Dads and Technology

I'd always thought the stone/fawn coloured full length Chinos looked a little boring but as shorts they're quite transformed - very cool! They look a very comfortable fit too. More about Levi's Fenom R.L. Chino Pant and Chino Shorts

Nom nom awesome orzo - the best and most versatile pasta I've come across. We lived off pasta salads using orzo last summer and looking foward to a repeat experience this summer too. Orzo and crumbled feta is like a perfect wee food marriage too! More about Mediterranean Chicken Orzo

Wow these sure have come along way from the old clunky film projectors of my childhood! Great memories though - the whole family sitting in front of a huge white sheet attached to the wall with drawing pins, while grainy, shakey images of us as babies appeared giant and distorted on the sheet! Ahhh London - an amazing city. The Tube photo takes me back...the sounds, the smells, loads of expressionless people all sitting in each others space trying their hardest to ignore each other and avoid eye contact! Funny thing about the Tube system, if you travel on them often enough you notice your ummmm, "nose contents" turn black!!! Fascinating stuff... Go Hilary - agreed - there's nothing quite like my husband of 13 years genuinely telling me when he's thinks I look hot!!! And he's stoked when I tell him similar. We're not over-the-top gushy people so when we compliment each other it's cause it's meant and it's the truth. His compliments mean more to me than any others I receive. Hahaha and I just said I wasn't gushy...whatever!!!

  • How to wake up without an alarm clock

Last post: Moz za on 14.03.11 at 01:49 | Started by Herbertimo on 29.05.09

Interesting stuff. For several generations mainly the men in my family have taken the approach mentioned above to do with visualizing the time of awakening. How they would do it, and it sounds REALLY odd, is if they wanted to wake at 6am they've gently bang their head on the pillow 6 times before going to sleep and they'd then wake at 6. Many a fish were caught because of this as they were all enthusiatic fishermen waking at whatever time the tides dictated. Buggered if I know what they'd do to wake at 6.30am though - add another half a headbang??!! More about How to wake up without an alarm clock
