In this day and age with on-the-spot videos like this that get published on YouTube it is much easier to start analysing what happened in hindsight and in slow motion, and apportioning blame and blowing the whole thing out of proprtion. Brawling has always been a part of rugby, and usually it gets sorted out on the field without repercussions. The sentences handed down were way out of proportion and far too harsh, espcially compared to the relatively smaller sentences handed out to professional players for worse offences such as eye gouging and biting. When the spectators get involved and start throwing punches that does take things to a new level and is unacceptable, but the players themselves cannot bear the full brunt of that. It was great to see the video cos we all like a bit of biffo (and those who say they don't are lying)...but it was nevertheless wrong when the crowd got involved and things escalated. The only thing is, it was even more wrong when the players were unevenly and harshly punished because the Rugby Union wanted to make an example out of them. Hmmmmmmmm....let's examine the physics behind this....

Centrifugal force (from Latin centrum "center" and fugere "to flee") represents the effects of inertia that arise in connection with rotation and which are experienced as an outward force away from the center of rotation.

In other words, the Newtonian mechanical physics equation is:

    I + Hm + CF = P

IDIOT + HAMMER + CENTRIFUGAL FORCE = PAIN.

Simple physics really. More about Hammer Throw Fail

  • Almond Mandarin Salad

Last post: Moose Mahon on 14.03.11 at 01:50 | Started by Moose Mahon on 01.09.10

YUM! Whenever I go to Wendy's now, I usually get either the Taco Salad or their Mandarin Chicken Salad...(doctor's orders, gotta give up the burgers and fries)... ;)

I LOVE mandarins in salad, they go so well...mmmm...bacon and mandarins...perfect ;)

I have also started making salads at home...not just the usual plain old lettuce and tomato...I'm using lean chicken, chick peas etc for protein...plus I often chuck in some pear or apple for a fruity flavour. YUM.

Will definitely be trying this recipe next. More about Almond Mandarin Salad

  • How to Attract Women and Not Have to Spend a Fortune

Last post: Moose Mahon on 14.03.11 at 01:50 | Started by Deanna on 12.09.10

No need to overthink it...just use the good old formula that works every time:

Splash on two dabs of Old Spice or Brut 33 + comb your hair + pick some flowers from the neighbour's garden + take her out for dinner at Denny's + tell her next date you will take her for a romantic walk on the beach + give her a pash at the end of the night.

Tried and tested formula, works every single time... More about How to Attract Women and Not Have to Spend a Fortune

A mobile design that "begs you to touch it, hold it in your hand and spin it around the table"?

In the 1980s, Slime (remember that?) and Slinkeys held the same fascination...

Boy have times changed! My memory may be fading, but I'm pretty sure Slime and Slinkeys never had built in Javascript, Bluetooth, 8.1 MP Camera, and USB capability... ;)

Amazing to think that we've gone from green slime and coiled wire in the 1980s to the Vivaz in just a couple of decades ;)

  • Learning To Trust Again – After You've Been Dumped

Last post: Moose Mahon on 14.03.11 at 01:50 | Started by Sanela on 21.07.10

The only thing the article forgets to mention is the EIGHTH Step to Recovery...take up a sport or a hobby!!! Having been dumped and discarded (ooops, I mean having experienced "relationship disassociation") more times than an Italian soccer player dives on the ground...I am well qualified to pass on that advice.

Seriosuly, it really helps to have something to keep you busy and your mind occupied, preferably outdoors in the fresh air with other blokes. It's cathartic for sure. More about Learning To Trust Again – After You've Been Dumped

Hmmmm...I'm beginning to find my old 1970 Instamatic 100 camera a little outdated, so was thinking of upgrading...

Sounds like this Sony doesn't require any flash cubes, which is a bonus...and I'm guessing I wouldn't even have to wind on the film in between shots....sounds great!

My life will be so much easier...if the camera upgrade works out well, maybe I'll look at trading in my Phonograph next month... More about Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-WX1 Digital Camera
