  • Attempting to be Suave... with Facebook Timeline!

Timeline is not bad, but the initial obsession with Facebook is starting to wane - I realise that says more about me than about Facebook, but I do wonder if anyone else is starting to develop Facebook fatigue? Where I could have spent two hours a day on Facebook a year ago - updating my status, checking updates, playing games, etc - I would be amazed if I can be bothered to log in for more than a couple of minutes twice a day now. Only check in first thing in the morning and last thing at night to see what my mates overseas are up to... More about Attempting to be Suave... with Facebook Timeline!

Bit late in the piece, but I prefer component systems - can think of nothing worse than having to send the tuner, the amp and everything else back to the manufacturer just 'cause the CD/DVD player is stuck, leaving you without any entertainment at all - which is what you end up doing with a midi or all-in-one system. Also, sounds quality is better on a good component system, in my opinion... More about Hi-Fi separates? Media player?

Yeah, that does sum it up nicely but does not really do the movie justice. It wasn't what I expected, but that is not a bad thing either. Well worth watching the full length version if you have the time, More about Million Dollar Baby

Wicked looking and decent connection speeds... I miss the days when these would turn up on my desk for review and the manufacturer would insist I should keep it after. Sadly those days are long gone and instead there is so much outdated tech hanging around the house that the scavengers are going to have a field day when Inorganic swings around next week... assuming of course their aim in to catch up to the year 2000... :D More about Linksys E3000

This does indeed look like a very nice camera. Having had extensive dealings with both Samsung and LG between 1998 and 2003, I have always found these South Korean giants to provide excellent value-for-money in terms of quality versus price, with stylish design thrown in as a bonus. That said I have had excellent service from my Nikon D40 and still prefer a mirror box and pentaprism to a screen, no matter how clear. That said, the lack of video means I have to carry a small Canon point-and-shoot for such purposes and that particular unit shows up the inherent weakness of mirror boxes - one hard knock means that what you see in the viewfinder is NOT quite what you get when you fire the shutter... Funny, in all that traffic, there was one other bike... wonder why there is so much traffic? While his skills are not up for debate (while his commonsense, consideration and intelligence are another matter entirely), as a biker who negotiates Auckland's SOV traffic daily, I wonder if the playback speed on the video has been tweaked "just a little" ('specially since the speedo is not visible for verification) More about Motorcyclist Races Through City Traffic
