Today, I had a date with this guy. I waited at the restaurant for an hour and he didn't show. Thinking he stood me up, I went over to his place and keyed his car. Then I realized the date was for tommorow. FML More about 8 Casanova style tips

  • Media should be fined for factual inaccuracies (or distortions)

Since news/stories are more kind of one-off products, people just don't care, and editors are too busy to meet the deadline.

If there were any mistakes or distortions, that's even better for media businesses, since it will generate buzz, as we know publicity is everything regardless good or bad (think about those celebrities).

So I think mainstream media (or mass media) is all about buzz and ads, telling people what they want to hear, and making money on ads.

Sad but that's how the world works, mainstream medias are controlled by few, targeting different demographic groups, to distribute the ads.

If one wants serious stories, insights and analysis, professional magazines and blogs are better choice.

One of my favourite sites for REAL stories by actual JOURNALISTS and economists: www.globalresearch.ca

This site isn't all candy floss like main stream media and isn't a conspiracy theory blogg either. More about Media should be fined for factual inaccuracies (or distortions)

  • Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009)

This would be one of the harshest reviews I've read but having said that it's pretty accurate. Even E TV the most bought and paid for review channel didn't have a whole lot of good to say for it. Setting aside the sickening display of sexual innuendo's (and the munchkin comment doesn't really bother - it's great that a director doesn't feel they have to be so PC) the film is a specticle. It's jaw dropping mainly due to the CGI and the obvious "hot chick" placements. I wish uni's in New Zealand where like this 'no name' university that Sam attends.

The room mate pisses me off too. When he gets tasered it's like 'dammit stay down!'

I disagree with the action fight scene at the end. Agreed: filmed to close and so you didn't really see the 'big picture' however the length was completly fine. It was long, and it was, but I'd like to remind the reviewer that the cartoon this comes from was half and hour long and 3/4 of that was in robot fighting. It's a movie about fighting robots, it's fitting to have a massive f#ck up rumble.

All in all an awesome movie to watch but as the review said has some giant holes which in their abundance do rise to the point that they stand out.

This guy is mad... having said that I just went to the site and voted Mad. Talk about a viral marketing campaign good on him! I think especially since people can only vote once - he's going to have some trouble getting 1,000,000 votes... unless he goes on facebook. As J L says - internationally would see him go massive... but then who knows what he'd get tattooed then!

I totally disagree, went and saw this movie last night and thought it was awesome. Great effects, great story, great action.

I felt that for a film they explored his character about as much as they could considering the genre of the film and the primary audiance being typically someone who has no idea about the story in the comics.

Would be great to see this kind of ingenuity used more. We are shamelessly abusing natural resources and it is great to see that other means of recycling are possible ESPECIALLY in the commercial construction industry where there is so much waste its horrific. Good on them!

I absolutly agree with all of this. New Zealand really doesn't want to adobt the american legal system in terms of IP it's benefiting very few and deffinitly not PUBLIC policy! It's CORPORATE policy! Let the lobbiest use their power of domination in America but don't let them get their grips on the rest of the world (the though corporate world domination comes to mind...) Free Trade... the idea is laughable! More about Give and take
