The Egg Guy’s Microwave Scrambled Eggs

Microwave Scrambled Eggs

Serves: 1


2 Eggs

2 Tablespoons of Trim milk

Pinch salt

Pinch freshly ground black pepper


- A quick and easy way to cook scrambled eggs and you don’t even need a stove. Perfect for aweekday breakfast or a fast snack, and a great way to get kids into cooking.

- Beat 2 eggs with 2 tablespoons low-fat milk in a microwave-safe coffee cup or bowl. Beat well soyolks and white are well mixed. Cover with plastic wrap (NB leave a small gap as a steam vent).

- Microwave on MEDIUM-HIGH for 45 seconds, stir and cook for another 45 – 75 seconds, stirringseveral times during cooking. (Note: Cooking time will vary dependent on your microwave wattage).

- Cover and let stand for 30 seconds to 1 minute before serving. The eggs will look slightly moist, butwill fi nish cooking upon standing. While eggs are cooking, toast your toast.

- Serve immediately. Enjoy.

    Usually i do this, minus the microwave.. Tried these in the weekend microwave style and they were delicious.. So quick and easy!!

    Chop some fresh chillies in, I find scrambled eggs can be a bit boring.

    You don't need to cover it and if unsure about the times, just watch it in the microwave and hit it for a minute a time til it's not runny any more. To take scrambled eggs to the next level, blend in i.e. with a beater, a small tin of salmon and serve the same way.

    I can't stand microwaved eggs. Just the smell of it puts me off. Can never go wrong the the old way of cooking it..IN A PAN!! with lots of butter.

    we seldom use the microwave when we are out on a holiday and renting a place. so this is a good idea. eggs are a good source of protein so it'll be good to eat for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

    I Have to say whisk eggs then add grated tasty cheese and salt and pepper,make sure there is a little moisture on the top so you dont dry it out and the steam will finish the job for you,then serve with american mayo yummo!

    Looks pretty nice to me. Good for if you are feeling lazy and can't be bothered cooking before work. The kids love it as well.

    microwaves have made us lazy. how much effort does it take to cook scrambled eggs in a pot, takes same amount of time......i love scrambled eggs on toast for a Sunday dinner when we have had a big lunch. nom nom nom
