Might be expensive but a good PT can help you establish your goal (1), commitment because you won't want to waste the money (2), nutrition & training programme (3), proper technique (4) and can tell you how to track your progress (5).

I found that Tabata training has been working quite well in my training.Tabata training was discovered by Dr. Izumi Tabata and a team of researchers from the National Institute of Fitness and Sports in Tokyo.He study the subjects increased their anaerobic capacity by over a quarter as well a substantial increase in their aerobic fitness. Four minutes of pain!! Push hard for 20 seconds Rest for 10 seconds. Repeat this eight times. It is pretty adaptable, it can be used for sprints but adapts well for any weight work out.. I recently tried using tabata with push ups and for the next few days i was feeling pain in places i never had before!
