The Minimalist Principle: Omit Needless Things

Im a clean freak, but to me even the minimalist look is off putting, i think it looks very anal and nothing can ever be out of place. I like things to have thier own place etc, but i want them to be functional also. I think colour and creature comforts add character and feel the minimalistic approach lacks a certain personal touch.

"I admire and strive for minimalism in every facet and every day. Alas, I fail in most facets and most days." How was that for minimal? I can't agree more with the eating. People are fat cause they eat too much and don't burn off enough. Simple maths.

The Minimalist Principle: Omit Needless Things

I found this article extremely interesting and helpful. I can see that living a minimalist lifestyle could improve a person's life, if their life is very stressful. The less we have or want, surely the easier our lives would be. I'm not saying I want my life to be all about only what I need, but I do know that I am one of those people who crave things in life that I don't need. This article has definitely given me a lot to think about.

After reading this I'm definately going to apply it to my life and home! It's such great advice and particulary applicable in this economic climate and with the obesity rates in NZ!
