Discussing :: Interview: Liam Neeson

Liam Neeson became a household name in the wake of Steven Spielberg’s 1993 classic Schindler’s List, for which he was nominated for an Oscar. His screen career began 15 years earlier with the likes of Excalibur and Krull, before he graduated to roles in films as diverse as The Deadpool (1988), Darkman (1990) and Ethan Frome (1993). In 1999, Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace, the eagerly awaited prequel to the Star Wars trilogy of 1977–83, was released, catapulting Neeson to international renown. He has subsequently starred in The Haunting (1999), Love Actually (2003), Michael Collins (1996), Rob Roy (1995), Nell (1994), Kinsey (2004),... read full article

The first movie that got my attention was Rob Roy, up until then l thought he played weak characters. Then Taken came along, must say he’s got better with age.

Liam Neeson in Taken - absolutely fantastic. I'd totally want him as my dad, just to hunt those bastards down and kick their ass :D All over it.

To this day Taken is one of my favourite action movies, Liam Neeson is so awesome in that movie, "I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you. "

Neeson is the man, is he really 60? What a performance in Taken. Hope he keeps getting great roles to play

Great interview but I would of liked him to elaborate on how he stayed a non-smoker after the A-Team.

#8

Favourite movie of his is Unknown....anyone else agree? comment please :D

Must agree that Liam's work has got better over time. These days he is a drawcard for me in movies. Like his gritty approach.

Really pleased to see Battleship take off the way it has after the mere idea was panned by socalled critics even before it was made. Rob Roy, Taken and The A-Team would have to be my favourite Liam Neeson movies (didn't really like his role in Batman Begins) and keen to see if Battleship joins the fav list!
