Reflecting on the narrow loss, all we can hope is that this is the one bad All Blacks performance we shall see until after next year’s World Cup. Article By: Bevan, SansonSo what does one say after the All Blacks' first loss of the year? “Bugger” springs to mind. But reflecting on the narrow loss – caused by a lazy start, a lack of intensity at crucial times and substitutes who simply failed to close out the game, all we can hope is that this is the one bad All Blacks performance we shall see until after next year’s World Cup.Whilst some might tolerate another loss or two before the World Cup I won’t and neither will... read full article

Completely agree with this! I don't care whether it's a second or third string AB's team, I hate it when they lose. The Black jersey is the Black jersey. Every player that wears it needs to give 110% on the field and never give up

As well as the players being on form some of the result does come down to the referee, what they see, decisions they make and i feel that the referee made a few wrong calls which would have made for a different result. If nothing else a loss will only encourage our team to strive harder, being on a winning streak has the downside of making you feel invincible so a defeat can be a positive thing. Not that the NZ public would ever think so.

Well glad its over too, definitelty ok for the AB's to play under form prior to the RWC. It will give the chaps something to really focus on. This result will make the team stronger and even more determined..its minor "speed bump" thats all.

the kicking from the australians was terrible, they should have won by a bigger margin. however, i think that quade cooper fellow is highly overrated and could prove to be the stephen donald of the wallabies?

Not the result we wanted to see but hey, what doesn't kill us only makes us stronger! Go the mighty ABs!

Should we accept it? we have to its a fact, it happened. Realisticly the difference between winning and losing has been so minor in the last two games, if James O Connor had not have scored we would not be lamenting a loss but congratulating a champion team. This loss was an opportunity for the team and the public to appreciate winning the world cup will not happen unless we have a team that can a) close out a game, b) can play with desperation and c) can be more clinical. Neither of these elements were on show on saturday. Points win matches and when we had a lead we needed to keep scoring, drop goals have won the last 4 world cup finals. Secondly it was clear aussie was desperate, we were confident but they were desperate, when its controlled a team can be play at a better level, we were a better team but they were desperate to win. Lastly we need to be clinical, especially in the #10, a clinical fly half like Merthans would have nailed that last penalty, the team wouldn't have suffered from aimless kicking and poor decision making not just from DONALD but CARTER was guilty at times as well. All in all these issues can be rectified and this loss is the opportunity for this to happen. I'm not gutted we lost but il be gutted if things dont change
