I think that Holley Smith at a late night gig, in a smallish club with dim lighting would be the ultimate!

I was lucky enough to see Evermore play at the San Fransisco Bath House in wellington a year ago. The venu is "intimate" and they played the best gig ever. My girlfriend and I both agree it was the best concert to date. I'd love to go back and see them again that night, it was priceless

Weeeellllll, New Zealand music is awesome and to be fair it's really growing and making headlines now....but I can't help but think it's those gone before that made the right noises and grabbed the right ears to make the 'New Zelaand sound' that lead us to where we are now. Me, I'd love the chance to sit down with a man sized pint in a grubby little back street bar and have Darcy Clay audibly beat the crap out of my ear drums doing what he did best - breaking the reins and making challenging music. Jesus he was evil and he's a credit to NZ music. Wish i could see him playing now. http://www.last.fm/music/Darcy+Clay/+videos/+1-5uieU-ylAzw it's not you-tube - but it's the money!

Cornerstone Roots are definitely my up-and-coming favourites. I saw them play up north last year with Lady Six, absolutely amazing. Definitely a group to watch out for.

The Datsuns! They Rock. It seems like forever since I have seen them, the last time was Gig on the Green in Glasgow about 5 years ago, would be awesome to see them again in their homeland and mine NZ.
