Discussing :: Advice for Perfect Suit Etiquette

On achieving that hard-working, investment wardrobe. Your portfolio is full of investments that require constant loving attention, so why not look after those investment pieces in your wardrobe with some of that same consideration? It's a cliché, but it's the truth. First impressions last. I'm sure you remember what that special lady was wearing the first time you met her. If it was a first date, no doubt everything looked clean, freshly pressed, or better yet – new. Likewise, every time you step out the front door, your suit should be spotless, shirt perfectly ironed, shoes polished and tie tied just so. I knew a guy who was just... read full article

Great Article, a crisp clean suit looks awesome and makes all the difference for first impressions, a creased suit just looks nasty, cheap and dirty.

I want to see a suit that is jam packed with awesome secret pockets but still manages to look stunning like these ones.

Relatively speaking it isn't that hard. I mean my first suit has two inner breast pockets, which can easily hold a cellphone, wallet, a decent pen, and a set of keys, spread across them, and there is absolutely no tell-tale signs of the clutter from the outside.

Though I'm am not endorsing turning your suit into an expensive upper body purse.

(Though that brings up a decent idea for an article, a stylish and practical guide to briefcases and other carrying things)

Great, All I wanted to hear! that it is possible to jam pack secret pockets into a suit and 'not' have obvious bulges showing hidden objects underneath.

Great advice...now how about some advice on ties to go with the suit (so you don't end with the league player attending court look as I recently read somewhere! what a laugh)

A god suite is the Key to a mans wardrobe. But no point wasting a lot of money on a bad one that wont last and will date.

alright so I heard about this thing called the surgeons cuff and I got it done on one of my suits... it means that the buttons on the sleeves actually open up instead of just being for decoration.

And apparently what guys who have this on their suits do is to always leave one button undone, just to prove that they can. So once you have the surgeon's cuff I can tell you from experience that you feel like you've joined the Masonic lodge or something, because when you go to a function you look around the room to see who else has it and it is like a secret handshake.

I also like to preserve the possibility that if I wanted to, I could roll up the sleeve and perform surgery on someone without taking off my suit. Okay so I don't know how to do surgery but at least I know that my suit is equipped.

the great thing about the suit jacket is that it's so versatile, it can go over everything including (but not limited to) a basketball singlet, snowboarding jacket, chiseled bare chest, leather VillagePeople vest and believe it or not a nice collared shirt. Suit pants on the other hand can only go over boxers or straight meat n 2 vege.
