Discussing :: Winter Holiday Destinations

nananu-i-ra in Fiji. Trust me, I lived in Fiji for 10 months

Hawaii was great and I would recommend it. With great fares at the moment it was somewhere a bit further away and we weren't disappointed. Pearl Hrbour was a great to visit as was the Punchbowl cemetery. Maui was great, good road trip round the Island and to see the volcano, and Honolulu was great for shopping and eating out. Next year I think I will try Alaska........certainly wont need the swim wear there.....

Samoa is the nicest vacation place I've been to. Felt like I was floating in space when snorkeling in the lagoon. I'm wondering though if there are similar places right here in New Zealand though.

I would love a holiday and somewhere warm!

Has to be Phuket! Great food / accomodation is great and sun & surf!

Probably Gold Coast, quick and easy and not too costly, but if had the money would rather go further afield.

I wouldnt be able to answer this as ive never left the north island of NZ.......so my answer is going to be lame but id say coromandel

Love Brisbane. Took a winter break there recently and went swimming in the ocean with all the other South Island Kiwis. lol

Fiji is awesome. Plantation Island is great value for money for families or Tokoriki Resort for couples who really want to indulge.

For a beach destination you can't go wrong with The Cook Islands. The main island of Rarotonga is great but Aitutaki is superb!!
