Old age, how will we ever cope?

Old People's Alphabet & what it all means:

A's for arthritis;
B's the bad back,
C's the chest pains, perhaps car-di-ac?
D is for dental decay and decline,
E is for eyesight, can't read that top line!
F is for fissures and fluid retention,
G is for gas which I'd rather not mention.
H high blood pressure--I'd rather it low;
I for incisions with scars you can show.
J is for joints, out of socket, won't mend,
K is for knees that crack when they bend.
L 's for libido, what happened to sex?
M is for memory, I forget what comes next.
N is neuralgia, in nerves way down low;
O is for osteo, bones that don't grow!
P for prescriptions, I have quite a few, just give me a pill and I'll be good as new!
Q is for queasy, is it fatal or flu?
R is for reflux, one meal turns to two.
S is for sleepless nights, counting my fears,
T is for Tinnitus; bells in my ears!
U is for urinary; troubles with flow;
V for vertigo, that's 'dizzy,' you know.
W for worry, now what's going 'round?
X is for X ray, and what might be found.
Y for another year I'm left here behind,
Z is for zest I still have-- in my mind!

we're all heading for old age, whether we like or not. so make the most out of life while we can. our health will deteriorate and its sad...but think of what we can do NOW to look back when we age.

I'm sure age is just a number. Your body might start packing up but hopefully medicial science will have it all sorted by the time we reach old old age. Here's hoping!

I do a tai chi class with a lot of elderly people and they constantly amaze me with their zest for life and busy social lives. I hope I am making the most of every day when I reach that age. Fingers crossed.

Just spent 2 weeks recovering from an accident that left me feeling sore and stiff and feeling old ..NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

25 and i already have a 'gammy' knee! Ugh! hurts in the cold and reminds me of my grandpa's complaining that the cold weather hurts his joints. lol. Guts!

That is way too close to my age! And the other day was talking about my sore wrist and workmate goes "you probably have RSI like me!" She's 40 or something, freaky. But no, it's just my chronic ganglion cyst :(

You know you're getting older when...

Everything that works hurts, and what doesn't hurt doesn't work.
You feel like the morning after, and you haven't been anywhere.
Your little black book only contains names ending in M.D.
Your children are beginning to look middle-aged.
Your mind makes contracts your body can't keep.
You look forward to a dull evening.
Your knees buckle and your belt won't.
Your back goes out more than you do.
You sink your teeth into a steak, and they stay there.
You know all the answers, but nobody asks the questions.
