Discussing :: Is a watch phone cool?

watch phone? i prefer to divide these entities into wrist watch for time and carrier pigeon for messages.

Not cool at all. Real nerdy. Unless your one of those dudes that can pull off weird nerdy stuff and make it hot, which i suspect not - being that you had to ask ;) Remember when girls used to wear watch rings. Awful.

An old man and a young man are travelling on the train. The young man asks: "Excuse me, what time is it?" The old man does not answer. "Excuse me, sir, what time is it?" The old man keeps silent. "Sir, I'm asking you what time is it. Why don't you answer?!" The old man says: "Son, the next stop is the last on this route. I don't know you, so you must be a stranger. If I answer you now, I'll have to invite you to my home. You're handsome, and I have a beautiful daughter. You will both fall in love and you will want to get married. Tell me, why would I need a son-in-law who can't even afford a watch?"

Surely not for a females watch ?? I mean my watch is so small I could not imagine wearing a big clunky thing to accomodate GPS, internet, wireless, phone, and so on.....better to have a chip implanted in your neck.

I can never imagine a female wearing a watch phone. I can only see it on a middle aged male nerd that spends 8 hours a day playing online games and has nobody to call anyway.

...yeah and then the nerd invents or develops some kind of emerging technology and ends up landing on Forbes Magazines 100 richest....hang on!....lol

What about an all in one: If a watch had GPS, Internet & phone and wasn't too big that would be cool as long as an image could be projected into gaming glasses. Otherwise be bit hard to see.

i think it can be appealing to some people but i dont normally wear a watch so its probably not something for me although i do like the idea of having one device having multiple functions... I think eventually we will have something that combines and replaces everything people carry around with them - watches, keys, smart phones, cameras, mp3 players, identifications, e-wallets etc - and maybe even more. When that happens, it will either be the best thing since sliced bread or will be the one thing that is going to completely ruin us...

I could see teens loving it and I think that once you were used to using it, the concept is definitely very practical. I get fed up with having to find my phone all the time. Cool? I think it depends on your age.

..it definitely depends on age...I would sway more towards pre-teens I asked my teenage nephews and nieces if they would wear a watch phone and they said yes if they wanted to be bullied.....and then said we would never be seen wearing one.....teenages these days aren't they just a bundle of joy!....lol

I think its cool for little kids but too star treky for teens or adults. But that is just my opinion.
