BDO is going to be missed.

Best song of the day and quite fitting for the last BDO in Auckland was Soundgardens; Black hole Sun. End of the BDO is going to leave a black hole in the Auckland Music scene.
Best things about BDO at Mount Smart was it NOT being filled with a lot of Trendy Wannbies only interested being seen and heard. The Room to move about, new layout and the Whole Vibe made it one of the best BDOs EVER.

.....they claim it was because of financial situations why it was no longer viable....I think the financial loss came down to three things bad management decisions, when the BDO was held and competition from other festivals especially Rhythm and Vines....that finally created its doom.....I remember when it was an awesome concert to go to not so much these days....did you see how the last BDO went? so sad I hope someday someone does something similar and they are able to maintain and retain it.....

I reckon that even if you ere only there to see a few bands (or even just 1) it was a hell of an awesome day regardless. Rain or Shine.

I used it as an opportunity to discover new bands and was more often than not pleasantly surprised
