Discussing :: Do you argue?

#21

The qualities that most attract a woman to a man are usually the same ones she can't stand years later. Always something to discuss or argue about.?

Heh, so often true. But I reckon it works both ways.

Jesus and Satan were having an ongoing argument about who was better on his computer. They had been going at it for days, and God was tired of hearing all of the bickering. Finally God said, "Cool it. I am going to set up a test that will run two hours and I will judge who does the better job." So down Satan and Jesus sat at the keyboards and typed away. They moused. They did spreadsheets. They wrote reports. They sent faxes. They sent e-mail. They sent out e-mail with attachments. They downloaded. They did some genealogy reports. They made cards. They did every known job. But ten minutes before their time was up, lightning suddenly flashed across the sky, thunder rolled, the rain poured and, of course, the electricity went off. Satan stared at his blank screen and screamed every curse word known in the underworld. Jesus just sighed. The electricity finally flickered back on, and each of them restarted their computers. Satan started searching frantically, screaming "It's gone! It's all gone! I lost everything when the power went out!" Meanwhile, Jesus quietly started printing out all of his files from the past two hours. Satan observed this and became irate. "Wait! He cheated, how did he do it?" God shrugged and said, "Jesus saves."

Hehe should have expected that coming :P

The handbrake and I do argue a bit.... she tells me off for being too much like her father!! Which brings me to my question - Ever heard that you will end up marrying someone who is just like your mother? or for the girls someone just like your father? Because I seem to hear this one a lot about me being just like her father and she hopes I don't drink in excess when I get older etc etc... bit of a stuck record really but can't say we have had any arguments that we didn't clear up in the end

I've heard you are attracted to people who are like an influential person in your childhood. It doesn't have to be your father. It could be the supermarket guy who was always really kind to you when you had to go down and pick up the milk for Mum. Or a teacher who was particularly memorable.

Mmmmm wonder where I got my fascination with red heads and a nice rear end from then?? One thing is true though, red heads are a bit hot tempered :P

I often wonder why I'm often attracted to guys with dark hair and brown eyes when my Dad has no hair, and blue eyes.
Wait... I know! It's from Prince Charming from Cinderella!

Just don't tell him, it'd be a hell of a thing to live up to!

It's not a rule...

Just like you probably don't exclusively date blonde chicks... with blue skin.

And now that I think about it I'm not at all attracted to Prince Charming anymore. Not since I was 4 actually.

Smurfette was a tough act to follow. Big shoes to fill for sure.

I'm sure it can be done...

You do have the big shoes, this much is true...

Its abnormal not to argue at all. But if its so frequent, there's something wrong. A few arguments is a sign of normality and one should compromise. Never sleep without patching things up.

#26

I think its unnatural to be in a relationship with no arguments - the making up afterwards is the best part!!!!!

#27

Most people argue at some point cause we all have our own opinions on topics and it shouldn't be any other way. Its not healthy to agree with someone all the time just because you love them. And it makes you boring.

#28

We don't argue as such, debate is the right word to use.

Happy wife happy life, haha all jokes aside, i think some people just have more conflicting personalities, especially when they're similar, as in two arrogant people won't back down, one has to be right where the other has to be wrong, but whereas people with more relaxed attitudes tend to let things go, and I guess you just have to learn to work around people, sometimes pander to their needs a bit more, but still stand up for what you feel is right, and yeah fighting/arguing is normal but play nice, because you can't take back what you've said.

Been happily arguing for 29 years. I wouldn't recommend it for everyone. I figure you've got to balance it out with the ability to make each other laugh more often.
