Who Skips Breakfast?

Hey we all know that Breakfast is the most important meal of the day,but it is estimated that nearly half the population skip it.I try and have a bowl of porridge everyday so would have to say I am a breakfast eater plus the fact I get like a big angry bear if I haven't eaten.
Wish I could have eggs and bacon every morning but don't have time. What about everyone else Breakfast Eaters or Skippers?

If I don't eat breakfast I'm starving by lunch and it just mucks up my day.
I'd rather have a big breakfast and no lunch than skip breakfast.
So in other words I never skip breakfast, there's no catching up once you do.

Breakfast eater. I can't get through the morning if I don't have my breakfast. Plus I am involved in sports and without breakfast I wouldn't be able to perform to my potential. Breakfast usually consists of a bowl of cereal, fruit and yoghurt, and this sets me up for the day

Breakfast is a must for everyone who wishes to have a healthy life

I would never be able to skip breakfast, for me it gets me going, with a cuppa too of course! I can testify that if there's any protein in your breakfast, it keeps you fuller for longer, and thats basically the first thing your body wants after an 8 hour nap (that and water naturally).

I sometimes chug down a smoothie that has a few fruits, nuts, yoghurt and at least 1 egg in it, works a charm!

I'm an eater. Porridge 365 days of the year. Skipping breakfast has pretty consistently been linked to health risks – high blood pressure, overweight, and an unhealthy assortment of blood-fats, among them. But what’s interesting is that the health effects of skipping breakfast – even being overweight – don’t seem to be the result of indulging in extra “make-up” meals throughout the day. So it’s not about just the calories: There seems to be something else at play. The short answer may be that skipping the early meal keeps your body in the stressful state of fasting for longer, which can disrupt your metabolism in considerable and, apparently, life-threatening, ways.

I think you do need to have a decent breakfast to set you up for the day but you also need to maintain it with a regular intake of food & this may also include 'snacks'so that you do not get into the peaks & troughs that can lead to low levels of energy. Smaller meals more often is the key otherwise you body may think it is being starved & it will store any fat consumed form the next meal. Don't forget your 5 plus a day plus plenty of colour in your food & drink plenty of water.

I so agree..porridge is a great start to the day.

Sadly I have to take a bunch of pills every morning to keep some health conditions at bay. The upside is that you have to take them with food so I am forced to eat at least a piece of toast in the morning. That is obviously a good thing!

Yes it is a great idea.

I'm never hungry in the morning, so breakfast is a rare occurrence for me. It works out pretty well though because I never have enough time anyway.

Skip breakfast and I'm in trouble. The morning goes well as does the afternoon but come the evening I can't stop eating.. If I do have breakfast my appetite is much more in control.

I used to be shocking for not eating breakfast. I have always been a coffee person and just relied on a couple of coffees in the morning. a year ago i joined the gym and they told me its a no no!!!!! So i always try and eat something, so now i eat muesli and a tub of symbio yoghurt. It makes me feel more concentrated at work and i have more energy throughout my day. Once i even went to the gym and worked out on an empty stomach and they growled me. I have learnt alot since i joined the gym. So glad i did.

I often used to until I got diagnosed with diabetes and am now really learning that missing something simple like breakfast can have such a huge impact on the body.

Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day, and I don't mean a Red Bull and cereal bar. Make time for it, and keep it healthy. You will feel all the better for it.
