It's so easy to do exercise without the need to put in a lot of effort... all it takes is a walk around town, walk the dog around the block or cycle to work. The key is to do these activities on a regular basis to keep ourselves healthy and feeling 100 percent. Having a good sleep helps wonders too to help heal the body.

My mum has been going to the gym for years and while she was fit she always stuggled with her weight. It was only after she quit the gym and went on a diet did she loose weight. The answer was obvious- in hindsight.
Exercise stimulates appetite. She now only exercises moderatly and has never felt better.

The key here is keeping blood sugar balanced so energy is constant. When you're eating a sweet food, you get a spike in blood sugar, which gives you an initial burst of energy," Heller says. "But that's followed by a rapid drop in blood sugar, which in turn can leave you feeling very wiped out." And walking is my top one exercise because it's accessible, easy to do, doesn't need training or equipment and you can do it anywhere.

Those suffering heart disease, for instance, should focus on a low-fat diet, avoiding the fats that cause hypertension, coronary artery disease and increased cholesterol. People who are diabetic must watch their daily calorie count and avoid foods such as simple carbohydrates that rapidly fluctuate blood sugars. A physician or registered dietitian can prescribe a specific diet based on health needs.
