I start for a few weeks then stop for a couple of months. Any suggestions?


A bit of a plan Jervis, it's easy to walk into the gym without planning & having a crack. That soon gets boring and you wonder what the point is.

If you had, say a 6 week plan with clear goals, you could plan out what you need to do and when to make sure you hit those targets. Once you hit those goals you'll feel fantastic & want to achieve more, by then that good habits should be formed too.

If you follow a 6 week plan (ONLY 3 more weeks than where you're currently getting too) you'll be amazed with what you can achieve.

Agreed, team style trainings are fantastic. Every one works as hard as they can, creates a bond with the crew around them and feeds off the environment.

I've never been a gym sorta guy so I try and keep my everyday lifestyle as active as possible. I walk everywhere (at a decent pace), which in Wellington means lots of hills, and every night before my shower I do press-ups and sit-ups. I also eat bucket loads of fruit and veges because I figure what you put in is what you get out :)

Exercise is necessary along with diet to maintain the health and improve the fitness level.
You should do some light exercises such as jogging, walking, sits ups, and pulls ups etc. if you can't do hard exercises.
Go for morning walk and make it your daily routine, it will be the better tool for you to maintain the health and fitness.

Regular physical activity is one of the most important things you can do for your health and wellbeing. I exercise regularly and if l happen to miss a few days, my body certainly lets me know (ha, maybe it’s in the mind). But it all comes down to “use it, or lose it”, as fitness levels drop off very quickly. So yes regular exercise increases my energy level.

Exercise is very important to maintain the health and improve the fitness level. And it is not always pleasant to do, but understanding the large prospective winnings makes it much simpler to get and stay inspired, and have fun with it "most" of the time

doing exercise is easier said than done. in my mind, i want to do it but in actuality, just have so many excuses to pass. I walk...in the mall. i stretch...in doing the chores. i do some medium lifting...my son is about 10kgs. and i run...esp when its deadline to pay the bills. At the end of the day, i feel like i've been to the gym!

Seems like exercise is the best way of generating increased energy.......what is going to be the outcome of a generation of people using sugary and processed food for energy?
