Humidity & Sickness

The average, adult human temperature is 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit. The average temperature in Auckland, New Zealand is 15.3 °C (60 °F). Humidity for an average year is recorded as 78.8% and on a monthly basis it ranges from 74% in January to 84% in July. 75 degrees F OK that's fine for temperature but what is the ideal room humidity percentage.

I have some lung issues and i find when the humidity is high i start to get wheezy. Obviously the extra moisture in the lungs is harder to deal with.

I thought 45 - 50% was about right but not totally sure - just the lower the humidity the easier it is to breathe and those days where it is up in the high figures aren't always pleasant........

Very interesting Ive seen people spray bottles of water into the electric fan to help them

Eat lots of sugar. I’m still working on this part of the treatment, but I think cupcakes provide the best source of humidity-fighting sugar.OR .... Get lots of rest. Exercise—even getting up from your bed!—increases the severity of Humidity Sickness.

I'm pretty sure cup cakes are not a proven cure for humidity related discomfort... I could be wrong...

Sugar does cure for humidity, Sugar in cup cakes works for me!

I hate the humidity at the moment as the landlord up the back has chickens & so all we get is wafts of pooh smell like sewerage. also I am allergic to a lot of things especially in the summer so it only makes me sick & I have to use many things to combat it. so we have to close most of our doors & windows in this hot weather & basically cook ourselves silly. good thing we have a fan. I have no idea what % anything is I just know it's hot hot humid humid humid whether its sunny or raining & stinky stinky.

Every asthmatic, and every mom and dad, should be aware that both humidity and cold air are two very common asthma triggers.

Not an asthmatic myself but there are many things that can trigger it the humidity wouldn't help, look at getting a water cooler, fill it up with icy water and it works like a fan but using the water blows out cooler air
