A cure for the Hangover?

Well well, looks like someone may have invented a cure for the dirty old hangover. Sure it ain't on the market in NZ to keep you healthy during this festive season but hey all your christmas's may come at once next year. A new hangover pill called 'Blowfish' that claims to cure hangover within 15 minutes has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). It contains 500mg aspirin, 60mg caffeine and an antacid to soothe stomach upset. To relieve the symptoms, those suffering from a hangover have to take two of these water soluble tablets. This helps restore mental alertness or wakefulness when experiencing fatigue or drowsiness associated with a hangover. Now I would love to test this product out and if it does work not only someone will make a TRUCKLOAD of $$$$$$$, but I'll be stoked. All I need now is for someone to write a book "How to understand Women" and my life will be so so so much easier.

...I doubt it will work FDA approves pills etc all the time doesn't necessarily means it will work...best way and the most reliable of them all is to not drink at all....the end!

Don't drink, no hangover..

I've always hooked into a spicy curry and a bottle of chocolate milk. Cleans the system out and like my mum told me... Better a empty house than a bad tenant!

A serious dose of caffeine works for me....

I have my methods but a sure fire cure would be awesome. Who cares if there is no cure for the common cold, I want a cure for the 'wine flu' I have on Sunday mornings.

Best drink I've found is homemade (the commercial ones do sodium fine, but skimp on potassium and ignore bicarbonate, magnesium and calcium). 1/2 quart water 1/2 quart cranberry juice cocktail (for flavor, could also use lemon juice + sugar, apple juice, orange juice) ½ teaspoon (2.5 g) baking soda ½ teaspoon (2.5 g) table salt ¼ teaspoon (1.25 g) salt substitute (potassium-based), such as Lite Salt or Morton Salt Substitute I find the cranberry juice is crucial to getting this down. Without it, you're talking about a gym-sock wring-out flavor. With it, the tartness really helps to cut the flavor. This drink replenishes 3 of your 5 essential salts. The others you can get from a glass of milk (although I would not recommend immediately following this drink with the milk). I'll warn you that it's a little nasty, but it really works.

It sounds good though. Hopefully it will come here in time for next Christmas and new year's. You know you are properly hungover when water is too tasty for you!
