Myth Buster: Female Ejaculation

The myth: female ejaculation is an urban legend; it’s just something that was made up by people with over active imaginations to sell porn films.

The reality: female ejaculation is as real as male ejaculation. It’s just not as common – only around 10% of women ejaculate a clear fluid from their urethra while they are sexually stimulated. Want to know more? Then keep reading.

The Science Bit
Now that you know female ejaculation exists, you’re probably wondering how it happens and what that magical liquid is. Contrary to popular belief a woman is not peeing when she ejaculates, when she is aroused the G-Spot fills with a fluid which is similar to male prosthetic fluid, and when firm pressure is applied, the fluid is released through the urethra - and a woman ejaculates.

Making it Happen
Men usually love the idea of making their partner ‘squirt’ and are very proud when they achieve this sexual phenomenon. But it takes time, patience and a precise method to make it happen. If you want your partner to develop the porn star-like ability of ‘squirting’, then these tips are for you:

1. Turn her on
It goes without saying that if you want your partner to orgasm and ejaculate, you will need to get her incredibly turned on first. So indulge her in some quality foreplay and dedicate some time to tantalizing her clitoris.

2. Locate the G-Spot
Once you partner is sufficiently warmed up you can move on to the next step, which is finding the G-Spot. Insert one or two fingers into her vagina with your palm facing upwards. Stroke the front wall of the vagina with your fingertips until you find a small patch about one to two inches up that feels different from the surrounding area, it should have a spongy or rough texture. This little pleasure point holds the key to female ejaculation.

With your attention focused on the front wall of the vagina, experiment with different touches and pressures on the G-Spot. Then, either continue to use your fingers or switch to a toy with a curved tip and apply rhythmic, firm pressure to the G-Spot in a ‘come here’ motion. It you like, you can use your other hand to gently press down on the area between her belly button and her pubic bone for increased stimulation; but don’t forget the clitoris as many women need clitoral stimulation to build their arousal.

When you apply firm pressure she may feel like she needs to pee, but if she emptied her bladder before you started then she can rest assured that won’t she have an accident. She should embrace the sensation and go with it; eventually it should turn into an intense sexual feeling.

4. The moment of truth
If you’ve made it this far then she is probably ready to ejaculate. Keep stimulating your partner and encourage her to stay relaxed and go with the sensations she is experiencing. She may want to push with her pelvic floor muscles if she can feel it coming but nothing seems to be happening, this will help to release the fluid. The ejaculate itself may be a gushing liquid or it could be a drenching spray, either way it’s a good idea to keep a towel handy!

Not every woman will be able to ejaculate, so don’t be disheartened if - despite your best efforts - it doesn’t happen for you and your partner. This is one trick that can take a long time to perfect, and if your partner isn’t completely relaxed then it may never happen.
