MOTAT is set to capture your imagination and take you back in time for its September Holiday Experience ‘Gum, Grit, Gold – A Colonial Experience.’
From 29 September - 14 October 2012, families will enjoy celebrating the Auckland Heritage Festival at MOTAT’s Holiday Experience and learning about our history through a range of exciting activities including digging for gum, searching for gold, trading at the colonial exchange and butter making.
Get creative and construct an early musical instrument in MOTAT’s Make and Take activity. See how clothes are washed with a washboard and learn about early life in Auckland from a colonial woman, school teacher or merchant!
Visitors will also be able to take part in Victorian Games, horse and carriage rides, and witness a real Penny Farthing rider and blacksmith in action.
We have 5 family passes to giveaway. To enter, comment below, then head along to Get Frank's Entertainment section and leave a comment on one of the articles to finalise your entry. Don't forget to check out Monday's newsletter to see if you're a winner and claim your prize!
