When designing the official Olympic Supporters Gear Collection, Rodd & Gunn’s head designer Irena Prikyl knew it was critical to reflect the same historical elements used in her inspiration behind the formal athlete uniforms (also designed by Irena), which are a nod to the historical 1948 NZ London Olympic team uniform. Irena has brought a fresh and modern approach to the supporters garments, by capturing the essence of what it means to be a Kiwi and by working it around our country’s national colour, black.
