Fantastic. Now, what about an article about all those gimps that can't take no for an answer? That's right Mr Trespass Notice. I'm talking about you. More about 7 Simple Ways To Say "No"

This is fantastic: "How to live in complete balance and harmony without sitting cross legged on a mountain top meditating on it for a good portion of your adult life". I can add to this: "Just say no". Working your guts out for The Man only gets you skinniness and stress. More about 11 Creative Ways to Avoid Becoming a Workaholic

Scary fulla. A tad too taciturn for my liking. I guess a knighthood and stacks of money can't buy you warmth. More about The Actual Habits – Sir Bob Jones

It would last all day: Champagne breakfast in a hot air balloon at dawn...sexy sauna and/or spa...degustation lunch accompanied by string quartet in outdoor park...afternoon nap in luxurious surrounds...sunset dinner on luxury yacht in harbour followed by freaking amazing concert...night ends at the Hilton Auckland where all of day's politeness is cast aside for the serious business of...well, the mind boggles... • The penis is too large

Last post: Erenakelly on 14.03.11 at 01:45 | Started by Chris on 18.04.10

The depiction of the male penis within Maori imagery and symbolism is a simple concept; the larger the penis, the larger the mana or prestige of the person or being it depicts. Therefore, to have an unusually huge or out of proportion penis was actually a mark of ultimate respect. Unfortunately, ignorance of this use of symbolism was first reviled by the arrival of the missionaries to NZ, who condemned it as distasteful act of heathenism. Ignorance, it seems, still lives. • Key lied about mining donations

People of New Zealand unite against the rape and pillage of Papatuanuku! I am aghast at the suggestion by our current government to disrupt the peace of our conservation estate in search of a few scraps of what appears to be spare change, in comparison to the invaluable tourism industry that New Zealand is lauded for. Lobby your local National Party MP or representative to have a quiet word in Key and Brownlee's ears and talk some sense into them before irreversible damage is made! I'm confused about Whanau Ora; is it in theory the SuperCity of healthcare? I'm also ambivalent about the distinction in ethnic qualifications; is this a system for Maori or all people of Aotearoa? I'm all for the idea of reducing bureaucratic modus operandi but am doubtful of the capacity of this scheme to deliver on its promises. Hmm. More about McCarten on Whanua Ora

  • Schama on New Zealand

I'm in total agreement with Schama; Aotearoa has its own origins, its own cultural evolution. Our story doesn't even begin to equate with that of Australia. A nation forged on a treaty between two peoples (albeit fraught with difficulties) vs. a former penal colony with ill regard to its indigenous inhabitants? No comparison or similarities to be found. I got sick to death of seeing my non-child-support-paying ex flounce around to pick up our son for the weekend dressed in the latest label gear, bragging about his latest exploits so I decided to make a discreet call to IRD. Needless to say, somebody is now making a bit more of a responsible contribution to his child's life. More about Win a PS3™ and the God of War Trilogy
