You're friggin' kidding me. What a statement eh? Something to show the enormous cultural differences between the gun totin' Yanks and us. We would of course have stripped the carcass and given it a proper burial. But to just blow it up? Sheez. More about Beached Whale Explosion

What a legend! Bouncers suck; they make up for their lack of self-satisfaction with an inflated sense of control and brute strength. Go the little man... More about Say No To Bouncers

AAAHHH the BDO. Making your way through dozens of trash-strewn gaps through sweaty, writhing bodies. Smashing your head into someone else's who has been momentarily, likewise, completely caught up in a glorious rock moment. Singing at the top of your out-of-tune lungs. Spewing all over yourself whether out of pure wastedness or cruel heat exhaustion. Yep. Good times alright. More about Big Day Out 2011 – First Lineup Announcement!

This is a beauty. The mixtape is an unsung art that has permeated our lives since time immortal and I'm so happy someone has finally given some advice on how to actually do it. I'm now reeling with sweet nostalgia of all the mixtapes I have been blessed to have received over the years. In fact, I'm going to go and make me one right now. I found the funniest way to deal with oral sex on women was mentioned in the Kiwi film Separation City: a shot (or several) of Baileys apparently helps ease the, erm, 'tang'. Otherwise, the 'less is more' theory is really not applicable in this situation... More about Oral Sex Tips for Beginners

  • Escape Showcase: Rarotonga Part 2

As a young impressionable travel writer, one of my first sojourns was to Rarotonga to be guided around by a curious local, otherwise known as "Mr Red Wine". After a morning's boozy lunch, we decided to forgo the travel itinerary and ended up singing raucously along with some locals who were busying themselves weaving costumes for the upcoming cultural festival. So much better than what we had planned. That evening at the Edgewater Resort we ended the day with more warbling and hollering to the cultural group performing for the evening punters. The next day was spent recovering with a guided tour through the bush with "Pa"; an amazing local kaumatua/healer who could identify and describe the medicinal uses of practically every plant we passed in the rainforest. Such an amazing journey; just drive slowly and watch out for the million dogs on the loose! More about Escape Showcase: Rarotonga Part 2
