Wow. Okay. I haven't seen Iron Man yet, but I saw the second one the other day (was dragged to it by my brother). Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised. I thought it would be lame, but I really liked it - it was funny, had action (some, maybe not enough, but still a decent amount), and kept me interested despite not really knowing the characters or the plot at the beginning. Maybe that's because I haven't seen Iron Man (number one), but I'll soon make a judgement on that one too as I have it sitting right beside me. But yeah, have to say that I actually thought it was really good... so I kinda disagree with this review :) More about Iron Man 2

  • How to Reclaim Your Attention

I love this! I definitely waste too much time on unnecessary things and need to limit my attention to what is really essential. Easy to say, hard in practice, but I like the way this articles puts everything into simple, easy-to-understand instructions - will definitely be trying to implement these in my life, especially the "give your attention to the important" one! • [REC] 2

Oh god, not another one! The first one freaked me out so bad, even though I already knew most of what would happen (my mates had already described the entire plot to me). Still, I can't wait to see this one. Unsure of whether it can be as good as the first, and definitely hesitant to say that they should do a third! More about [REC] 2

What a terrific actor and what awesome responses to the questions. It's nice to know the background behind how Couples Retreat came about. Gutted that I was unable to go to the movies to see it - it would've been great on the big screen as it has wicked reviews :) More about Interview with Vince Vaughn

  • Quality Commercials!

Although NZ has a few really good ones, I think overseas ones are a lot better. I also think that we are a bit behind when it comes to key adverts like drink driving ones - overseas, the adverts are really intense and do not understate anything - they show the dramatic results of what can happen with drunk drivers. New Zealand, however, does not - our ads have only just started to really have major impact on watchers, and I can think of a few times where adverts have not been allowed on New Zealand TV because they came across as being too horrific. I understand how certain ads should not be shown to kids, but that doesn't mean that these ads cannot be on at night time to try and get an important message across. More about Quality Commercials!

  • Love Life, Not Stuff

It is almost becoming insane the amount of time we spend obsessing about mere products and possessions - especially things that we once lived without, but now believe our lives depend on. Technology, for example, is a major one - the majority of people would probably go insane if they were forced to live a week without technology, yet centuries ago, technology didn't exist. We are becoming to complacent with our habits for ignoring the most important things in life, such as family and friends... But at the same time, it's bound to never change, but only get worse. • Paranormal Activity

Last post: Ella on 14.03.11 at 01:49 | Started by Ella on 06.10.09

I have to say - this is probably New Zealand's best horror film, and best underdog story really (considering it was never meant to be as big as it has become!). The fact that it became a hit in the United States soon after it was first screened to audiences shows how popular this film is. I'm dying to see what all the fuss is about, and see if it really can make me scared enough to sleep with the light on (which is what some of my friends were caught doing after watching it). I'm particularly looking forward to seeing this; partly because I absolutely love Gerald Butler (hot bod, hot acting) and partly because you can come in halfway through the movie and still manage to be entertained.

I would love not to be able to wake up to an alarm clock, because I personally hate it and I often wish it would die an awful, nasty death (I've gotten so sick of the ringtones that I have that I feel pained hearing it). More about How to wake up without an alarm clock
