Work and Income offers a range of no-cost recruitment support your business can use to find staff. These services include listing a job vacancy with Work and Income or searching their job seeker database for people who are looking for work.

Industry partnerships

Work and Income work closely with industries and employers to locate and train workers to fill skill or labour shortages. Industry partnerships provide a good solution to minimise skill and labour shortages and maximise job and career opportunities. Disabled workers recruitment and funding

Workbridge is a not-for-profit organisation that works with disabled jobseekers to help connect them into employment. If you have a vacancy that could be filled by a disabled person, you can contact  Workbridge on 0508 858 858. They can help you select candidates and advise you on workplace accommodations or practices that will help a disabled person become an active and engaged employee. You may be eligible for a range of supports or subsidies to assist in employing a disable person.

Providing work experience for job seekers

On-the-job work experience helps young jobseekers hone their skills to enter the workforce for the first time, and helps older workers return to work after a couple of years’ absence. By providing paid work experience for up to four weeks with assistance from Work and Income, you get the chance to evaluate potential employees and assess whether they’d be suitable employees.
