Discussing :: Ford Ranger XLT

Why pay for the extra complexity of four-wheel-drive if you don't need it? Not to mention the increased tyre wear and fuel use.For most folks two-wheel-drive will suffice, especially when it comes with the high-riding ground clearance of this Ford Ranger XLT double-cab wellside.Ford's Ranger has a foot in both the family and workaday camps.The tough cabin plastics, slide-out document tray, tow rating of two tons and load rating of one plus the standard tie-down hooks that'll take 400kg of strain come with the job in mind. Looks pretty cool but look at the wheels, they seem small and outa place! It's like a rottweiler with small balls, looks cool but all the other dogs will still laugh at it behind it's back!

I have the Mazda BT-50 manual version of this
It gets 12.5l per 100kms

Is very practical and nice to drive 4th gear is very drivable through a speed range of 100kms

Hills are no competition for this ute

My only issue is they are a tad hard riding but this is to be expected of any ute over a sedan

Other than that it all stacks up for a great ute.
Why pay the extra dosh for a ford badge when the Mazda is the same bar the front grille and guards
