In a town where hedonism is almost an art form, one bar stands out for the superb quality of its hospitality, warmth, food and craft beers – the Queenstown Dux De Lux. This is a place that I would highly recommend as a refuge from the hoardes – particularly on a winter’s day. Grab a place in front of the roaring fire, and settle down on the comfy sofas with a pint of Alpine Ale or Wakatipu Wheat, and a huge Dux Platter – the best I have ever tasted and a snip when shared at $30. Treating your loved one to a winter break? This is a place that will win her heart without breaking the bank. Can't wait to go back.
