I've not actually watched an episode yet but from what I've seen in the ads it looks really bad... if the aim of the programme was to get young NZ men to move to the Gold Coast to try pick up girls then yeah its worth $430,000

Taxpayers money should not be being spent on something like this. It's just going to encourage more and more kiwis to move over to Australia, as it makes it look like heaps of fun and they're earning way more than they could back home.

with all the debates and controversy it surely is a money grabber for the producers!! perhaps NZ on Air should introduce new rules where producers of successful tv programmes should give back some or all of the funding they have received??!?

....I've seen NZ on Air waste more money on even worse crap....though I only saw two episodes of this....was better than other shows I've seen that they have funded....is $430,000 to much though could be.....but if this program was the number 2 trending topic on twitter the first night it screened that says something......personally me only watching two episodes speaks volumes on what I thought about the show....lol

Yes. I watched the first show and thought 'oh my god'. Once I got my head around the fact they're acting more than reality television I really enjoyed it. It's better than alot of shows and it's not hurting anyone. All those people that moan about how bad it was could have just changed the channel. Some people just like to moan.

Definitely not. I would prefer watching a program that is money well spent. Maybe more local documentary programs about real NZ. Something that makes you feel you've actually watched something that is worth while.

Definitely not..Found it pretty hideous to be honest. Sure there are a couple of girls to look at but wouldn't it be money better spent on real "kiwi" stories like the epic story about the 3 male NZ Olympians last Sunday on channel 1.
Stories that people want to hear about instead of who's scoring who, what new ink they have..
They didn't even promote the programme when 2 of them came over last week to tour NZ..
Must have run out of money i reckon!?

Can't really say whether it's worth it or not. My eyes started to bleed and my ears started to heal over after about 3 minutes of watching. I had to bail for the sake of my health. Have only heard bad things (my ears are fine now). Imagine what local talent could do with that much green!
