The king of the “walk-away knock-out” is heading back to Auckland to compete for the first time in 16 years. Mark “The Super Samoan” Hunt will face American Derrick “The Black Beast” Lewis in a five-round main event at Spark Arena on Sunday, June 11 in UFC Fight Night: Lewis vs Hunt, LIVE on SKY Sport 4.
Handpicked by Lewis, the 43-year-old veteran Mark Hunt is a man not to be taken lightly, with a career including an extremely successful stint in kickboxing where he was a former K1 World Grand Prix Champion before turning his fists to MMA where he has a record of 12 wins (nine by knockout), 11 losses, a draw and one no contest.
No slouch himself, Derrick Lewis is on a six-fight winning streak and will be looking to add to his 18 wins, four losses and one no contest with a victory over Mark Hunt in Auckland.
UFC fans will enjoy a total of 10 fights on SKY Sport and can look forward to Australian middleweight Daniel Kelly (12-1) vs American Derek Brunson (16-5). Mexican and number one ranked flyweight, Joseph Benavidez (25-4) vs Australian Ben Nguyen (16-6). Australian and UFC debutant Ashkan Mokhtarian vs American John Moraga (16-6).
