Flicks introduce 'Show Me The Movie'

Flicks, New Zealand’s most comprehensive and popular movie publication, introduce Show Me The Movie, a brand new neutral website designed to cut through the confusion of on demand video.

As New Zealand’s ultimate guide to movie watching, Flicks.co.nz highlights where to go out for entertainment, covering the latest releases in cinemas, hosting a varied team of reviewers, showcasing interviews with both international and local actors and filmmakers, and welcoming enthusiasts to share their thoughts on films of all genres.

Now, our friends at Flicks are thrilled to introduce their new sister site, www.showmethemovie.co.nz, highlighting where New Zealanders can go for entertainment without leaving the comfort of home.

Show Me the Movie is a tool to let consumers search for any movie available, either online (pay-per-view or subscription) or via DVD rental in New Zealand.  It is intentionally simple and free of bells and whistles.  With content varying widely across on demand providers, Show Me The Movie cuts through catalogue confusion to quickly tell movie buffs where they can watch their film of choice.

“At Flicks we love movies – going to them, writing about them, and talking to the people that make them,” says Flicks Editor Steve Newall.  “But sometimes, maybe when you’re still in bed, you just want to find out what to watch right there and then, free from confusion about which service has what content.  That’s where Show Me The Movie comes in.”

Show Me The Movie currently lists providers Quickflix, Netflix, Neon, Fatso, NZ Film On Demand, iTunes and Google Play.
